The Power of God

I know that there could be 100 or more opinions on the Power of God. I'm not hear to debate, just comment. I'm most definitely not an expert on this subject.

Lately, I've been shown and convicted that I haven't been walking in the fullness or Power of God. Most people don't for that matter. We go through our daily life, doing our daily day to day tasks; some of us praying and reading God's Word, but we still walk in doubt or unbelief. We get caught up in the "norm", the "unexpected" surprises us and life starts to suffocate us, like a slow spiritual death. The enemy (lion) comes to make the kill and leaves us wounded, we lick our wounds and become consumed with ourselves and our circumstances. I am guilty.

Here are a few scriptures that have spoken to me lately:

2 Chronicles 14:11-13 (New International Version)

11 Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said, "LORD, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. O LORD, you are our God; do not let man prevail against you."

12 The LORD struck down the Cushites before Asa and Judah.

Psalm 68:35 (New International Version)

 35 You are awesome, O God, in your sanctuary;
the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people.
       Praise be to God!

Daniel 2:23 (New International Version)

23 I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king."

2 Timothy 1:7 (New International Version)

7For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

My boss and I were talking to each other this week about what God was doing in our lives. We spoke on some issues that God was showing us that needed to be changed, etc.. Most of the situations that we spoke about included other people, but needed us to change first, even if the other person never changed.

God is calling his people to walk in obedience to Him, no matter the situation or circumstance. After we finished building each other up in Christ, we were so pumped up for Christ and it was like we didn't even have a care in the world.
At that moment, we as dumb sheep, agreed once again in our life that we have had the power of God the whole entire time. Through every situation in life we have a choice to walk closer to the Lord and obey his word. Today, why don't we just Believe His Word? If we don't we will walk in our own strength, which will lead to spiritual death. That's where the enemy wants us to be, useless for the kingdom of God.

We need to stand today in the Power of God. For He has already given us the answer that we need.

Beware:

The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy!
