I truly haven't abandoned my blog

It's just looks like I did!

I have signed on to blog about 10 times and absolutely no inspiration or divine inspiration for that matter has come my way. All it took was a little encouragement from Laurie and here I am. The power of words. No really, I have been wanting to blog and life has tugged and dragged me in other directions. Between, bronchitis and then my daughter struggling with a strain of her own from overseas, work and then Thanksgiving, life tends to leave one scattered. So on to another topic.

Has anyone read the book"Twilight" or it's sequels, seen the movie? It seems to be a controversial issue amongst the "church". All of my girls have read or reading the books and last night I saw the movie. If you're unsure of what it's about, it's the Vampire movie. It was o.k.
But, I do think there is something morbid about getting into the love story and wanting the vampire to "bite" the girls neck. I have to admit, I wanted him too. Oh well, you'd have to see the movie before you judge me.

I hope all is well with everyone, I've been keeping up with your blogs.

Keep blogging,
Kelly

Today I'm home from work with a bad chest and head cold. Actually, I went to work and they sent me home. Can't really blame them, who in the world wants to catch what I have? It feels like a flu bug, but I had a flu shot 2 weeks ago Wednesday. And yes, I've heard all of the stories about the flu shot. (About, how it gives you the flu etc...) No matter what, I'm sick and pitiful. I don't do very well when I have a fever. I can handle most any other ailment, but not a fever. This week at work is called Owner's Weekend. It's the time where you really don't take off, if at all possible. Most all of the homeowners on the plantation come back for the winter and it's a huge celebration. And I'm sick. I feel like I'm letting my team down. I hate it.
Well, I'm thankful that I have sick leave and I'm getting paid for laying on my rear-end.

It's a good thing you can't get sick by reading this blog or you know!

Good health to all.

There Home from Romania

Cally cutting hair in the                                                                                         dark

David constructing  a new building

Cally's first plane ride. This picture was taken as the plane was taking off. She looks like she's getting ready to upchuck.

"The Group" guarding the                                                                                                                                     luggage from thieves.

It was really exciting to see God using everyday talents for His glory. David is a builder and he travels to Romania to construct a building. Cally just received her cosmetology license and used her profession to witness to others. Some of these people haven't had a "real" haircut, other than Mommas.

There was also a local dentist who went to give his time fixing teeth. There was one man (25 yrs) who had never brushed his teeth, ever. The dentist extracted 17 of his teeth. ( After hearing that, I now know why I'm not a dentist) Thankful for them, yet thankful I'm not...

There were teachers and occupational therapist who worked in the local orphanages.

Our  team brought 50 pounds of burn cream to a local burn hospital. When they arrived, there wasn't an ounce of burn cream in the hospital

At one point, my daughter wasn't around a Romanian translator, so the Lord provided by putting a man from Spain in there path, the Romanian spoke to the Spaniard and he spoke Spanish to my daughter. She then translated in English. He provides!

It was an amazing trip and God was in the center of it...
